This will allow for our skilled team to meet you at the location to give an EXACT quote of how much we will charge to haul your refuse away. The reality is, with so many variables involving type, size, composition, and disposal requirements of refuse, it is not possible to give an exact quote over the phone when hauling junk. The removal specialist must see what they are working with to give an accurate estimate. Be careful of any junk removal company advertising “rough estimates” based on the volume of their truck filled (½, ¼, etc.). Their estimates almost always go up once they get to your site and start the job.
Consider this example: A truck that is half-full of computers is more difficult and expensive to dispose of than an entire truck of mulch, so how can a company give an accurate estimate based on volume? Can the computers be refurbished, or do they have to be recycled? Is it a mixture of both, necessitating sorting and multiple trips? This cannot be determined until a removal specialist has seen it for themselves. Don’t let a junk removal company bait-and-switch you with a rough estimate; always get an exact quote in writing.
